NO BAN ON MERSHAL FILM: MADRAS HIGH COURT

The Madras High Court dismissed a public interest litigation (PIL) petition filed by a lawyer seeking a direction to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to revoke the censor certificate issued to Vijay starrer Mersal for its ''anti GST'' dialogues, and said that dialogues were a mere expression of opinion in a film, so courts cannot interfere and order their deletion.
