LAW ON PASSIVE EUTHANASIA: CENTRE TO SUPREME COURT

The Central government informed the Supreme Court that it would come out with a legislation to allow passive euthanasia to provide for ways and means to end one’s life if someone is in a vegetative state with no chance of bringing them back to life, but the Centre opposed to permitting people to make a ‘living will’ that they should not be put on life support in case of terminal illness as it could be misused.
