DELHI HIGH COURT ASKED CENTRE TO DEFINE RAPE WITHOUT GENDER BIAS

Based on the petition filed by Sanjjiiv Kkumaar, an activist seeking gender neutral definition of anti-rape criminal laws, Delhi High Court sought the Centre's response on the plea, seeking to declare ‘gender-specific’ sections related to rape and its punishment under Indian Penal Code (IPC) as unconstitutional.
