3-FOLD INCREASE IN CHILD ABUSE CASES

The SHE Team's Bharosa centre, which handles cases of crime against women and children, has been reporting an alarmingly high number of child abuse cases. In fact, the number of child abuse cases received by the Centre has shot up to over three times the cases of adult rape. It was set up in May 2016, received 211 cases of child sexual abuse till July this year, the number of adult rape cases was just 61.
