Rs.4,100 Crores boost for fast-tract courts in India.

To expedite justice delivery in cases of heinous crimes and those against women, children and the elderly, the government has earmarked over Rs.4,100 Crores to setup 1800 fast-track courts, one of the largest allocation of funds so far to set up such special courts. These funds will be available to states till 2020.

Consumer forum awards Rs.14 lakhs claim

Consumer Forum in Hyderabad has directed a public sector non-life insurance company to pay about 14 lakhs as insurance claim and Rs.50,000/- as compensation for repudiating the claim without a valid reason.
